Just a Moment

My photo exercises began this weekend and first one was to ask a friend or family member to pick something at random and take a set of photos of the object. While stepping out of your normal go to muse, you capture something unknown and at different angles. A new perspective begins my friends!

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” ~Charles Dickens
Spring is OFFICIALLY almost here. Sandals, bright colors, patterns of all kinds and flowers in wild curly hair. Taking walks for new perspectives and ideas. Oh sign me up because Spring, I’m ready for you. This weekend was California at its finest and I love walking around the yard seeing what new flowers and plants begin to grow. With Incubus playing on my Ipod I could only say for those who are not enjoying the California weather right now, I wish you were here.

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” -Henry David Thoreau
As an add on to my lifestyle and practice for my photography I have made it a plan this year that I go on as many hikes and see places I have not seen that are so close to home. Took these photos in Thousand Oaks, CA on a hike through the mountains that connects to Westlake and Newbury Park. As I continue through the great outdoors I will share my photos and thoughts with all of you. Hope you enjoy them!
Until next time,
-Alex
