Make Music Pasadena
First time seeing Grouplove was at Coachella this year and anytime I’m in need of energy I listen to them. They are like the band version of a Redbull. No joke. So when I heard about Make Music Pasadena I knew I had to go. This was Grouplove’s welcome back home after their tour and it was awesome.  Also got to see Milo Greene, amazing up and coming band. Can’t wait to see...

A Second Home
The beach is a place I call home, the place where thoughts wander and sparks of creativity ignite. I can remember taking trips to the beach since I was little and no matter which foreign lands I travel, the ocean will forever be familiar to me. With school done I can start my days in the warm sun, cruising the PCH and stopping at my favorite beaches in Malibu. It makes it so much better when I get...

Topanga Days With Chevy Metal
Chevy Metal, a garage cover band made up of Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett from Foo Fighters and Wiley Hodgden. The day felt like chillin’ out in your friends garage while listening to band practice, it was raw fun. It was the best way to listen to live rock n roll.

Sweet Saturday
Important fact about me: I was born with a sweet tooth. So to start of the Memorial Day weekend, I share with you some of the week’s most recent sweets. Enjoy!  Pina Colada. Once I start pouring that glass of mine you can bet I’m singing Rupert Holmes “Pina Colada.” And also, can I please have a pretty little umbrella in every single drink?! At least this silly photo I...

Style Inspirations
If there are two things I love oh so much, its color and jewelry. And lately I’ve been trying to play around with using gold and silver and I like to piece them together using matching colors. With summer here, the combination adds coolness and warmth to your style and you know what they say…opposites attract. :) -Alex

Stayin' Fresh
Fresh lemon mint water. May not be a mojito but after a good workout this is my go to drink. The mint and lemons are fresh from my garden which always makes it easy to make. Try it!

Exciting News...
The time has come. Music will fill the air. Laughter will be shared. Friendships will grow. Dancing shoes will wear out and memories will be made. COACHELLA has arrived! Getting ready tonight by attempting to succeed in chalking hair, keep your eyes out for news! Many photos and stories will be shared when I return. I now bid my adieus as I let the desert take me under it’s wing.  With...

Different Angles...
My photo exercises began this weekend and first one was to ask a friend or family member to pick something at random and take a set of photos of the object. While stepping out of your normal go to muse, you capture something unknown and at different angles. A new perspective begins my friends! -Alex

The Cosmo of Dreams and Relationships.
Though life in itself is a broad term for what inspires me, I do value all things that present themselves in my experiences. Yesterday while chatting with my friend Jessica, who lives a distance away from me, I sat back and viewed at how each relationship has embarked and affected my life. As though seeing them only yesterday, the miles of seperation between friends and family seem to make no...

DIY: Travel Map Coasters and Magnets
Alright, I am somewhat disappointed in myself that I found this idea via Pinterest months and months ago and never made them until recently. Fortunately when cleaning out my room I found some extra cork and maps. These are incredibly easy to make and the best way to add a hint of travel inspiration to a room. What you will need: -Map -Cork -Magnets -Cutting board -Stencils* -Pencil  ...

A Crave For Spring Fever
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”  ~Charles Dickens Spring is OFFICIALLY almost here. Sandals, bright colors, patterns of all kinds and flowers in wild curly hair. Taking walks for new perspectives and ideas. Oh sign me up because Spring, I’m ready for you. This weekend was...

DIY: Make A Candle Holder Vintage.
The key element to making anything antique or giving something a vintage look is, tough love. I like that there is nothing right nor wrong when it comes to vintage. Imperfections are what make an antique project special. So as I was browsing through my room, I came upon this candle holder that I have had for years and decided to make something out of it.  A couple things you need: -Candle...

Spreadin' The Love
I’M BACK! Thought I would bring some love to my blog after months of abandonment. And in the spirit of love and all things that are sweet and delicious I made Conversation Sugar Cookies and Mini Funfetti cupcakes. These sugar cookies were a trial run but in the end I think they turned out great and tasted even better! My favorite though were these cupcakes because nothing says fun like...

Optimistic and Happy
Other than the ocean I happen to believe the airport is an amazing place to let your thoughts wonder. Just this week I came back home from Boston and as I sat at LAX waiting, I thought to myself of how I would, without a thought, just jump onto another plane to another destination. Within a matter of minutes of landing I began to feel the itch, the itch to travel. I know a good amount of those who...
